OUR PRESS RELEASE WENT OUT THIS MORNING
BEROWRA FINE FOOD MARKET HUMMING ALONG
Every third Sunday of the month, a car park in the heart of Berowra is miraculously transformed into a busy, thriving marketplace.
Just 40 minutes from the centre of Sydney and an easy walk from the train station, producers are invited to sell their products directly to locals and tourists.
The Berowra Fine Food, Wine & Handcraft Market is open from 9am to 2pm. Customers are welcomed to the aroma of freshly grounded coffee beans and enticing breakfast dishes permeating the air. It’s a wonderful atmosphere and the perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday with your family browsing through exotic gourmet products, grass-fed meat cuts, seafood, veggies, nuts and berries. You will find designed candles and diffusers or a rare sour cherry jam one can’t find in the supermarket.
Juan, the Market Manager and owner of Dos Juan’s Fine Foods say, “we’re delighted people are enjoying our themed market days on the fthird Sunday of the month.
“Even on rainy days, our stall holders are seeing familiar faces return every fortnight to pick up super-fresh gourmet treats, enjoy the ambiance, listen to local musicians and share a meal with friends.”
The market is earning a reputation for its array of stalls featuring the best sustainable and ethical produce.
“There’s no room for second-hand, mass-produced clothing, or trashy novelty at this market,” says Allyson Hoft of Wollombi Wines. “We want to keep it elegant and tasteful.”
There is no a better spot anywhere else where you can do your shopping, sample delicious wines and cheeses. Catch up with friends and indulge in a gourmet lunch of exotic Spanish tapas and traditional paella and feast on mouthwatering Brazilian BBQ. There are plenty of comfortable seating and tables within the marketplace for you to relax and enjoy Argentinian and Chilean cuisine, Chinese Yam Cha and Vietnamese spring rolls and soups.
Each market is a special event celebrated with a unique theme;
Cheese & Wine – Christmas in July – Country Music Festival – French Food Festival. * Please check our website for more dates and themes.
